Being the birth & death day of old Bill,
I shallst relate in pentametric verse:

Violet and Ivy were weighed on Tuesday:
Eleven pounds and eight the latter was,
the former nine and seven, catching up.
But they're not the only ones getting big.
Their parents have of late been growing too,
indulging in a stream of cho co late;

paddling in a flowing river of cake;
swimming in a resevoir of biscuit;
diving the depths of an ocean of cheese;
cruising the seas of awful metaphor.

Alleluia, Alleluia!

Happy Easter everybody!

Ivy and Violet went to meet their beautiful new baby Auntie yesterday.

Eva Pascale Kennedy was born in the early hours of Maundy Thursday.  At a hefty 7 pounds and 5, she looked surprisingly tiny next to her ever growing nieces but I have a feeling she'll catch up in no time.  Congratulations Nana, Granddad, Rosemary, Jonah, Rory, Phelim and Gabriel:  another beautiful girl in a beautiful family.

Enjoy the 50 days of Easter Feasting,

Lots of love,

Ivy, Violet, Ailsa & James

Seven

Palm Sunday once again. Last Palm Sunday we had no idea that the baby in Ailsa's womb was, in fact, two...

Guess who.

Seven months ago this afternoon Violet and Ivy were 'extracted' from their wonderful mother eleven weeks earlier than expected (time flies when your changing nappies). Since then they've had adventure after adventure after adventure. Just over a week ago, we were all back at the hospital again after little Violet had a horrible reaction to some baby porridge, but she settled down very quickly and was soon back to her thumb-sucking little jolly self.

We are all very, very excited at the moment as we look forward to the imminent birth of the girls' new Auntie... due Wednesday (my money is on Saturday).

We wish everyone a beautiful Holy Week.
